This technology covers the three components that are integrated in the IoT architecture: devices, gateways and services.
Symplio develops its own devices to build the best IoT solutions.
The modular design, real time configurations, and the expansion and updating of firmware enable the devices to rapidly incorporate new functions and services.
By incorporating different types of components in the electronics (sensors), implementing different interaction technologies (LED, Augmented reality...) and communication technologies (NFC, BLE...), the devices form part of different IoT solutions.

Within our technological architecture, Symplio has developed a series of gateways in order to free the devices of processing, communication and data aggregation functions. Symplio resolves energy consumption and cost problems, when its devices or third parties demand greater computing capacity.
These gateways are presented in a physical and low consumption device format, based on Raspberry PI, and in a series of software components in SDK format for IoS and Android.
Thanks to these gateways, the integration of third party IoT devices (beacons, Apple iWatch...) is facilitated along with the incorporation of Symplio IoT solutions on existing applications.
The conception of Symplio solutions has generated the need to create and use a whole micro-services architecture, enabling different types of technology (PHP, Java and Node.js) to come together on a single platform.

Enabling the execution of all operations to ensure the management of devices, communication, scalability and security of the Symplio core components.

Supporting the different micro-services that are specific to each of the Symplio solutions depending on the business activity sector

Optimising to collect and analyse millions of events per seconds, providing batch, real-time and predictive analytics.
External communication services
Web portals and dashboards enable users the interaction with Symplio services. Well-defined interfaces allow data and services integration with external companies.
This services architecture is built on a set of descriptive, manageable and secure APIs.
Solutions supporting the main communication protocols of IoT technologies. The solutions developed by Symplio enable communication between its components using traditional Internet protocols (http/https) and those designed in-house to facilitate IoT communication (MQTT). With the inclusion of the SYMPLIO interconnection devices (GATEWAYS), interconnection between devices, communication infrastructures and services is facilitated thanks to the combination of diverse technologies, such as NFC, BLE, WiFi, 3G/4G and in the near future, LoRaWAN.

The design of Symplio’s components provides an easy way to evolve the business solution of our clients. Symplio has created a micro-services architecture aimed at the development of products that allow its own technology to be combined with that of third parties, fostering the continuous evolution of its business solutions. It also facilitates the incorporation of new devices and services.This micro-services architecture uses a series of smart endpoints that implement their communication in order to create value services. These services are displayed via APIs that facilitate integration with other platforms and solutions.
Devices that can be updated with new capacities and managed in real time. The Symplio technology enables the functions deployed on devices and services to be configured in real time. They also enable new functions to be incorporated when permitted by the hardware of the devices. They facilitate the continuous administration thanks to the capacity to activate or deactivate the devices and associated services.
Solutions that are designed for being able to grow depending on the business needs. Symplio designs its solutions so that they can be deployed in small and large environments. Valid for a reduced number of devices and low cost servers and also when hundreds of thousands of devices need to be connected to hybrid or purely CLOUD environments.
Collecting data to create a new type of knowledge and facilitating decision-making. The Symplio Big Data technology enables many types of information provided by the devices to be collected. The data is analysed, generating knowledge to facilitate decision-making for users and systems, transforming these decisions at events that generate actions on devices or associated services.
